New HP Mini 210 Gets Funky, Announces New AMD Ultraportable

HP has always been working the style angle with its netbooks by including numerous color options and stylized lids. Now, HP is taking the next step with two new and very funky color options for the Mini 210, one called “preppy pink” (not joking) which you can see above and another called There is no hardware difference to be found here – this is simply an upgrade of the netbook’s dashing good looks.

If you’re looking for new hardware you’ll need to look at the , which was also recently announced. While the Pavilion dm1 looks like the HP Mini 311 on the outside, its internal hardware is more similar to the old HP Pavilion dv2, an AMD ultraportable which had good performance but very poor battery life. The new Pavilion dm1 is to use the latest AMD Turion II Neo processors, but it isn’t clear how that will change battery life and performance.
