Yes, that’s right – another Eee PC! Yea, I know what you’re thinking. Eee PCs are being released left and right – what is so special about this one? The answer is quiet a lot. In fact, this may be the most feature-filled 10 inch Eee PCs ASUS has ever made.
The 1005PR’s basic specifications are the typical stuff with the exception of the hard drive, which is a larger 250 GB model. But where this really gets interesting is when you look at the 1005PR’s video capabilities. This model packs a 1366 x 768 resolution screen, higher than the typical 1024 x 600. The 1005PR is also among the first netbooks to use the Broadcom Crystal HD Accelerator. This is a chip specifically tailored for high definition video. It won’t help with games, but it makes the 1005PR a much better device for watching movies than a standard Eee PC.
The rest of the feature set is pretty good as well. It comes with Windows 7 Starter, wireless b/g/n, Bluetooth and a .3 megapixel webcam.
