Deal of the Day: Newegg SSD SUPER SALE

by Matthew Smith on April 2, 2010

Hot damn! I love SSDs. I think that everyone who can afford an SSD should purchase one for the primary hard drive of at least one computer. Once you’ve seen the difference that they make in performance you really won’t want to go back to using a mechanical hard drive.

But it has been that whole “who can afford” thing which has been in the way. Even I, a true convert, only own a single SSD (in my desktop system) because I really can’t afford to purchase one which would be large for my own notebook. But maybe now I can, because Newegg is having a huge SSD sale. Here are some of the highlights.

OCZ Vertex 30GB for $79.99 after mail-in rebate

Kingston SSDNow V Series 64GB for $139.99

Intel X25-M 40GB for $98.99

Intel X25-M 80GB for $214.99

These are some damn nice deals. So if you’ve been itching for an SSD, but have been waiting for prices to drop a bit, now is the time. If you’re interested in that Intel deals, I suggest you act fast. The Intel drives will probably sell out soon.
